Selective Search — specialist executive technology sales headhunters — are retained to identify an exceptional Sales Director for a high-growth technology organisation. This is a senior leadership role combining personal new business responsibility with the management and development of a high-performance technology sales team.
The Role
As Sales Director, you will set the commercial strategy, lead by example in front of clients, and build a culture of consistent high performance across the sales organisation.
- Own revenue targets across new business and existing account growth
- Lead, coach and develop a team of senior technology sales professionals
- Drive personal new business at C-suite level across target verticals
- Define sales methodology, pipeline management and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with Marketing, Pre-Sales and Product to align GTM strategy
- Report to Group CEO/CRO with full commercial accountability
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven Sales Director or VP Sales background in executive technology sales
- Track record of building and scaling high-performance technology sales teams
- Personal credibility as a senior new business closer — you still lead from the front
- Deep knowledge of technology sales cycles, commercial models and GTM strategy
- Exceptional leadership and people development capability
