Selective Search — the UK’s leading executive technology sales headhunters — are exclusively retained to identify a heavyweight Business Development Director for a globally recognised IT Outsourcing and Professional Services organisation. This role is focussed on new logo acquisition within Financial Services and Insurance — one of the most lucrative and competitive verticals in UK technology.
The Role
You will be the primary new business engine for the Financial Services and Insurance vertical, owning a high-value pipeline and closing complex, multi-million pound technology outsourcing and transformation deals at C-suite level.
- Own new business development across UK Financial Services and Insurance markets
- Build and maintain a pipeline of £10m–£100m TCV IT Outsourcing and Transformation opportunities
- Engage CFO, CTO, CIO and COO to position complex technology value propositions
- Lead bid and commercial teams on strategic pursuits through to contract closure
- Build and leverage a deep network of FS/Insurance decision-makers, advisors and partners
What We Are Looking For
- Significant executive technology sales career at a Tier 1 Global IT Services, Outsourcing or Consulting organisation
- Personally led and closed major IT Outsourcing, BPO or Transformation contracts in FS/Insurance
- Established C-suite network within UK Banking, Insurance or Capital Markets
- Expert in complex commercial models — pricing, TUPE, SLA structures, risk/reward mechanisms
- Board-level presence and credibility — you walk into the room and own it
