### Job Overview:
Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Big Deals Sales Executive to join their dynamic public sector sales team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives and closing high-value contracts within the public sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of government procurement processes and a proven track record of navigating complex sales cycles in the technology industry.
### Key Responsibilities:
– **Sales Strategy Development:** Design and execute targeted sales strategies for large public sector accounts, focusing on maximizing revenue and market share.
– **Client Engagement:** Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government agencies and public sector organizations to identify opportunities and drive sales.
– **Opportunity Identification:** Proactively identify and qualify large-scale, high-value opportunities within the public sector, collaborating with internal teams to develop tailored solutions.
– **Proposal Development:** Lead the preparation and presentation of compelling proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and compliance with procurement regulations.
– **Negotiation:** Oversee negotiations with clients to secure favourable contract terms and conditions, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
– **Market Insights:** Stay abreast of public sector trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategy and positioning.
– **Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and client deliverables.
– **Performance Tracking:** Monitor and report on sales performance against objectives, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve targets.
– **Mentoring:** Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members, sharing best practices for deal structuring and client engagement.
### Qualifications:
– **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
– **Experience:** Minimum of [10 years of experience in sales within the technology sector, with at least 10 years specifically focused on the public sector.
– **Proven Track Record:** Demonstrated success in managing and closing large sales deals (typically valued at over £50 million in complex, regulated environments.
– **Knowledge of Procurement:** Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
– **Strong Network:** Established relationships with key stakeholders in public sector organizations are highly desirable.
– **Sales Skills:** Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
– **Analytical Abilities:** Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive sales strategy and decision-making.
